3、 Instrument self-test (do not connect with chromatograph)
1. Check whether the nut of the air outlet on the back of the instrument is tightened, and whether the two upper covers of the filter are tightened. The sealing must be good.
2. Plug the instrument power cord into a 220V power outlet. Turn on the power switch of the instrument, the green light for gas production lights up, and the compressor starts working.
3. Observe that the pressure gauge pointer starts to rise until around 0.4 MPa, at which point the compressor is still working. Wait for 3 minutes until the compressed air in the gas cylinder reaches 0.8 MPa before the compressor automatically stops working.
4. Turn off the power switch of the instrument and observe the changes in the pressure gauge reading. If the pressure gauge pointer remains at 0.4 MPa after ten minutes, it indicates that the sealing performance of the gas system is good and the instrument is normal. It can be used in conjunction with the gas chromatograph.
4、 Air pump and gas chromatograph are used in combination
1. Prepare a stainless steel or polytetrafluoroethylene gas pipeline with an outer diameter of Φ 3 (the length can be determined according to the distance from the chromatograph), connect one end to the air outlet and the other end to the air inlet of the chromatograph, tighten the joint nut, and ensure good sealing.
2. After connecting the gas pipeline, turn on the instrument switch and the compressor starts working. When the pressure gauge pointer rises and reaches 0.4 MPa, the compressor is still running. After waiting for 3 minutes, it stops working, indicating that the system of the instrument is working normally.
3. If the pressure indication does not reach or exceeds 0.4MPa, the pressure regulator valve can be used to adjust it to 0.4MPa. Turning left is small, and turning right is large.
4. When used in conjunction with a chromatograph, when the compressed air output in the gas cylinder decreases to a certain pressure and capacity, the compressor will automatically start and replenish air into the gas cylinder. When the gas in the gas cylinder reaches a certain pressure, the compressor will automatically stop working and repeatedly provide pure air to the chromatograph.
5. When the air pump is equipped with a chromatograph (flow rate of about 350ml/min), the compressor should be started every 15-20 minutes. Starting every 3-5 minutes is considered a fault and should be stopped for leak detection.
6. After finishing work every day, turn off the power. At this time, there is still air pressure inside the instrument, but it will be naturally released through the chromatograph working system to restore the pressure indication to zero.
